The commercialization of Easter is big business for American retailers. According to the National Retail Federation, 2007 Easter sales were estimated at $14.37 billion, an 11% rise over 2006. The average American family of four is spending $486.88 on Easter season purchases. Over $74 on candy alone! Under this mounting pressure is it any wonder that Christian families are crying out, “Enough! There must be a better way to celebrate Easter!” Celebrating Our Savior: A family journey for creating a Christ-centered Easter Season, offers a complete guide to transforming the Easter season and reclaiming it for Jesus Christ.
